Relight Project Relight Days

A unique light reappears for just three days a year

Relight Days is a three-day event that centers on the relighting of Counter Void, Tatsuo Miyajima’s public artwork installation on the theme of life and death, which has gone unlit since the Great East Japan Earthquake. Through programs and talks organized by the Relight Committee, a “citizen’s college” designed to train social sculptors, the event aims to explore future ways of life and the question of what it is to be human.

Dates/Times: March 11 (Sat.)–13 (Mon.), 2017 [Tentative]
Venues: In front of the Counter Void installation (Keyakizaka, Roppongi Hills) and other locations
Admission: Free

Taking its illuminated form for just three days out of the entire year, Counter Void is a compelling exploration of life and death — and an experience to treasure with your loved ones.
